Recording at The Portico

Formerly the High Shoals Baptist Church, The Portico was built in 1868. There’s soul in every floorboard of this place, and we’d imagine there’s soul in the rafters too. A band can track live with as little or as much bleed as desired, either with sunlight streaming through the windows or well into the evening. The study attached to the old church house has a few bedrooms and a full kitchen for multi-day recording sessions.

Mixing

If you already have a plan to record your project and just need some help with mixing, first-rate engineer Robert Green will help take your songs across the finish line.

Remote Recording

We’ve made as many records in laundry rooms, cabins, and kitchens as we have in old churches and professional studios. If there’s a destination you want to make a record, we can come to you.
